Cell Microsystems Lab Services

Contract Research Services

Cell Microsystems offers customized lab services to expedite your research, including:

Our experienced scientists will tailor our assay development and data generation to your needs. Clients may provide their own cells, or we can source or develop cell models as required.
Services are conducted under BSL-2 practices.

Your Samples or Ours...

Lab services customers can arrange for their samples to be sent to our labs for the experiments, or Cell Microsystems can acquire samples to your specifications from our network of sources.

FAQs

Lab services are for investigators who choose not to or cannot complete cell line development and/or assay(s) on their own. Whether it is due to equipment availability, time constraints, or anything in between, any investigator can take advantage of Cell Microsystems’ lab services.
  • We offer lab services for a wide variety of applications, including:
    • Cell line development
    • 3D model development
    • Shear flow assays, such as cell adhesion assays
    • Ion channel patch clamp testing
  • These are just a few examples of lab services offered by Cell Microsystems. For a more expansive list, check out the individual instrument services FAQs. Still don’t see the service you’re looking for? Contact a lab services specialist today to chat.
  • Less headaches due to assistance with assay development and data analysis: Tell us what your end goal is and we will work with you to design the best experiment possible within your budget. In addition, our expert scientists will provide analysis reports at the completion of the experiment.
  • Time-savings: We will run the experiment for you, giving you back your precious time.
  • Rapid turnaround: Our scientists are experts, meaning experiments are conducted efficiently, getting you data faster.

Contact us to check in on your experiment and our lab services team will gladly update you on the progress and results. We will also send you a full data report after the experiment is completed.

Lab service costs vary based on experimental requirements, such as the number of assays, replicates, and required scientist(s) time. However, using Cell Microsystems’ lab services means no capital costs, no equipment training, and no operator training are required. Just contact us to request a proposal, and we’ll help you design a study that meets your experimental goals and budget.

The amount of time needed to obtain results is highly dependent on the experiment’s design and requested endpoints. To obtain an estimate of lab services turnaround, please contact our lab services specialist.

Not at all! If you already have a Cell Microsystems system in your lab you can still take advantage of lab services for larger projects, new investigations, or whatever your needs may be.
Absolutely! If you want to continue with your investigation independently, we will gladly provide you with advice and protocols that were used during your lab service experience.

Yes! Our CellRaft Cytometry software can identify cells of interest using label-free brightfield analysis and fluorescence.  Together, this allows us to select cells, monoclonal colonies, or organoids based on desired morphology and fluorescent phenotypes, including rare populations.

Yes! Lab services can work with you to design custom sequencing or -omics experiments and isolate your desired single cells, clones, or organoids for RNA or DNA extractions.

Contract Research Services FAQs

What are the advantages of lab services?
Key advantages of Lab Services include expert support for assay development and data analysis, time savings through hands-on experiment execution by Cell Microsystems scientists, and rapid turnaround. Tell us your end goal and we will work with you to design the best experiment possible within your budget, including a full analysis report at completion.
How much do lab services cost?
Lab service costs vary based on experimental requirements, including the number of assays, replicates, and scientist time required. Using Cell Microsystems Lab Services eliminates capital equipment costs, equipment training, and operator training requirements. Contact us to request a proposal — we will help you design a study that meets your experimental goals and budget.
Can I use Lab Services even if I already own a Cell Microsystems instrument?
Yes. Existing instrument owners can still take advantage of Lab Services for larger projects, new investigations, protocol development, or other needs. Owning a Cell Microsystems system does not limit access to Lab Services in any way.
Can I purchase a Cell Microsystems instrument after using lab services?
Yes. If you choose to continue your investigation independently after using Lab Services, Cell Microsystems can provide guidance and protocols used during the service engagement.
Can Lab Services support regulatory submissions requiring proof of monoclonality?
Yes. For cell line development projects requiring monoclonality documentation, Cell Microsystems Lab Services can provide image-based tracking records generated by the CellRaft AIR System. These records document single-cell origin and colony development over time, supporting the documentation requirements associated with regulatory submissions in therapeutic and industrial protein expression contexts.
What quality documentation is provided at the completion of a Lab Services engagement?
At the completion of a Cell Microsystems Lab Services experiment, a full analysis report is provided. This report covers experimental results, imaging data, and relevant quality metrics depending on the service type. For cell line development services, documentation may include monoclonality records and clone characterization data. Contact a lab services specialist to discuss documentation requirements specific to your project.
