Identification of a Rare Double Positive Clone

View Our Featured Case Study: Identification of a Rare Double Positive Clone Collaborative case study in the use of a new technology for fast and easy cell line development In this case study, after flow sorting failed to generate a stable double positive cell population, even after multiple rounds of sorting, CellRaft Technology was able […]
High Efficiency Cell Line Development of a Density-Dependent Hepatic Cell Line

If you work with difficult-to-clone cell types, you will appreciate the challenge researchers at this lab faced in generating monoclonal populations of Hep3B human hepatoma cells. When they plated their cells using limiting dilution, populations that originated from a small number of cells (1-3 cells) exhibited a permanently altered hypoxia response. To address this issue, researchers […]
Chemoresistance Case Study
To elucidate the mechanisms driving chemoresistance in Ewing’s sarcoma patients, researchers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill exposed Ewing’s sarcoma cell lines, MHH-ES-1 and TC-71, to common chemotherapeutics SN-38 and etoposide to select for a chemoresistant population of cells. These populations were then plated using limiting dilution to generate a monoclonal population, but single cells failed to expand. The researchers turned to Cell Microsystems to leverage the CellRaft Technology, a novel single cell cloning and cell line development platform.
Gene Editing Success: A Case Study in Cloning Rare Edited iPSC Lines
This case study highlights this paradigm and how novel approaches can overcome the biological challenges of traditional CRISPR editing workflows, particularly in difficult-to-use cell types.
